Roberto Pereira Chumbe, managing partner at Peru’s Benites, Vargas & Ugaz Abogados, accepted Latin Lawyer’s Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year Award on behalf of the firm in May. At the awards, Pereira sat down to discuss some of the firm’s defining pro bono cases and how law firms can use pro bono to improve access to justice.

Pereira received the award on the firm’s behalf at the ceremony in São Paulo, after it was announced as this year’s recipient in February.
